Experience is the best teacher. Talk to people that have done what you want to do. The internet can provide so much information if you know where to look. Don't knock someone for doing something, they may just have an idea for you to use. My friends and family have been the biggest help of all. They will provide you with honest opinions and reassurance that you can do what you want.
